So as if getting the shop ready for the new Autumn 2016 Collection wasn't enough - we also decided to organise a fairly big Fashion Show two days before the shop opened again.
We chose the fabulous location of The Camberwell Church Street Hotel; their semi circular bar was just fantastic for the models to show off the wonderful garments in the collection. Three female and three male models wore a variety of Sports Lux, Scandinavian Cool and Stylish Workwear. They also modelled a collection of our new mens and womenswear label - Samsoe and Samsoe - a very cool, stylish and very wearable collection from Copenhagen. One of the sets that gave us much fun was 'Outer Wear' with an amazing selection of jackets and coats worn with shorts, complete with socks and boots (see image)
We really enjoyed putting together outfits for our models (ranging in ages from 17 to 56!) and wanted to showcase the diversity and potential in our collection.
We had a great group of guests - agents, friends, regular customers and traders from Bellenden Road. We ate wonderful tapas and enjoyed some excellent Gin and Tonics - courtesy of local distillery Little Bird Gin.
One of the highlights was a talk from Sally Phillips who is on the team of Smart Works - an organisation supporting women back into work by offering dress consultations, a free interview outfit and accessories and interview technique skills so they have the best possible chance to be appointed. Bias is happy to support Smart Works by donating some of the end of season stock.
All in all a great evening ... and we are already looking forward to doing it again next year!
